Join Sewell on the go to support local food banks in Hull
Since the COVID-19 pandemic, our local food banks are busier than ever. The coronavirus lockdown saw a huge rise in the use of food banks across the full country.
Even though lockdown is over, a lot of elderly, disabled and vulnerable people are still extremely anxious about going out. There is still a lot of worry about not having enough food for themselves and their families. Coronavirus related job losses have also enhanced the requirement for food banks.
We’ve teamed up with East Hull & Beannie Street Food Banks to help support them during this difficult time and we’re asking you to join us by donating your unwanted food bank items.
We want to collect as many donations as we can in our stores from 14th September -11th October through our ‘Big Local Harvest’ campaign to help them continue their great work within our local communities.
We’re taking collections at all 13 of our stores, so when you’re buying something in , why not buy an extra item for our donation baskets? You can also bring in any of your unwanted items from home.
We will also match the total number of customer donations, so the more we collect the better. Find your nearest store here.
