New Subway at Cottingham store creates twelve jobs

Twelve new jobs have been created following the opening of a third Subway within Sewell on the go.

With others franchises opened at South Cave and Chanterlands Avenue over the past 12 months, Cottingham’s Subway is part of a £100,000 investment.

Patrick Sewell, Managing Director of Sewell on the go, said: “Subway offers more choice to the customer and adds extra value to the convenience offer we already provide in store.

“It’s a real hit with our customers and there are plans in the pipeline to open more in 2017.

“It’s been a fantastic team effort to get these three Subway stores open and I’d like to thank everyone involved for all of their hard work.”

When Subway opened at South Cave earlier this year, 1,500 sandwiches were sold in the first week and 10 new jobs were created.

Meanwhile, 12 new jobs were created at Chanterlands Avenue when it opened in September and 524 six-inch subs were sold on the first day.
