Meet Kayreen

Kayreen started at Sewell on the go as a Sales Assistant. This was her first role in retail and within six months she became a Supervisor. Five months later, she was promoted again to a Manager.  

Kayreen also supports with a lot of community work including the local food banks, Dove House, Hull HARP and the soup kitchen. 

“Sewell have supported me through leadership training to help me support my team better. I don’t see me ever leaving because Sewell is just a great company to work for!” 

Katherine's story

Katherine started work as a part-time cashier at a small Sewell shop in Swanland in 2002 – and never left! She worked her way up, learning as she went and became a director at just 33 years old, making her the youngest director at the Sewell Group. 

“We’ve got a really strong family culture. A lot of our people are grown from within, we very rarely recruit externally for management or supervisory positions, they’re all internal.”
