Please remember to #ShopKind

As a local convenience store, we see ourselves as more than just a shop. We’re part of our local community – we’re a friend to talk to, a place of refuge and safety, somewhere you know you’ll always be welcome.

When we open our doors and have customers visiting, some are regulars, others faces we’ve never seen before… others are just passing and we may never seen them again. There’s one thing they all have common – they all make a choice to either be kind, polite and friendly to our teams, or to be abusive, unkind and sometimes even violent. Our team should never have to deal with abuse while simply doing their jobs, which is why we joined the ACS’s campaign to remind everyone to #ShopKind.

Solving an industry-wide issue

#ShopKind is a retail industry campaign, co-ordinated by ACS (the Association of Convenience Stores) on behalf of the UK Home Office, that is responding to the growing problem of abuse and violence toward shopworkers.

#ShopKind

USDAW, the shopworkers Union, estimate that 90% of shopworkers have faced verbal abuse.

#ShopKind

The British Retail Consortium estimate that over 400 shopworkers are abused each day.

We welcome people who #ShopKind

Our teams are top of our priority list; therefore, we ask all our customers to be patient, friendly, kind and polite when visiting our stores. Our teams work hard to make sure everyone who walks through our doors receives a world-class experience, the only thing we ask in return is that you #ShopKind.
