The new South Cave Service Station is progressing well
We’re a third of the way through the development of our shiny new store at South Cave and the construction is progressing as planned.
The new store is going to be around two and a half times the size of the existing shop and will offer a larger range of groceries, fresh food and fine wines. The new store will have a cafe area, a meeting room and a new kitchen area for the preparation of hot food. We’ll also be increasing the number of parking spaces and improving the access on and off the forecourt.
Mike Hall, Site Manager said:
“We’re well on with the brickwork now, as passers by will be able to see. Scaffolding will be installed next week so the bricklayers can complete the higher levels of the building.
Later this month the service station will close for a period of time to allow the extensive work to the forecourt and canopy to be carried out. When the store re-opens in the late Autumn, all the work will be complete and the brand new store will be open.”
The redevelopment of the South Cave Service Station is part of a programme of investment into the Sewell on the go estate.
Patrick Sewell, Managing Director said:
“To enable us to continue to meet customers’ needs we need to continually improve our offer. The renovation at South Cave will massively enhance our customers’ experience of convenience shopping with Sewell on the go; we hope it will be well received.”
