Sewell Group ranked 7th Best Company to work for in Yorkshire and the Humber
Following the news that Sewell Group maintained its 3-star, ‘World Class’ accreditation for the ninth time in the UK Best Companies Survey last year, the Yorkshire-based company has now been ranked in three of the first quarterly league tables of 2022.
Sewell Group have been ranked in Large Companies (19th), Property (2nd) and Yorkshire and the Humber (7th) – meaning the Group of businesses has been recognised regionally, nationally and within its business sector.
Head of People, Becky Oughtibridge said:
“To learn we have been ranked so favourably in all three league tables for the first ever Best Companies Quarterly League Table for 2022 is just fantastic.
“Not only that, but we’ve also moved from the mid-sized to large company category, which is testament to the growth of the business since we gained our first prestigious Best Companies accreditation back in 2009.
“We’re a multi-disciplinary business, with a truly diverse, unique model and as we grow, it’s important to ensure the culture and engagement of the business doesn’t become diluted. So, when we get news like this, it’s humbling to know our people still feel part of something special.
“Off the back of this, one of the first things we did this year was launch a brand-new Culture Book. We’ll use this, as well as utilising feedback from every future survey taken, to look for business and engagement improvements year on year. We’ve never taken the happiness of our people for granted and we want the Culture Book to really bring this to life.”
The new ‘League Table’ approach gives accredited organisations the chance to appear in up to four quarterly lists for the Best Companies to Work For, this gives multiple opportunities to showcase success and achievement nationally, regionally and in individual sectors.
Sewell Group’s ‘World Class’ status is the companies ninth Best Companies accreditation, which recognises the highest standard of workplace engagement.
Last year, staff across the business were asked for their opinions in the independent Best Companies questionnaire. Questions focused on the eight Best Companies Cultural Insights: leadership, my company, my manager, my team, personal growth, wellbeing, giving something back, and fair deals for employees, with the results showing they feel happy, engaged and recognised for their efforts.
