Sewell on the go is pumping up their pay
Sewell on the go has paid above the minimum wage for many years now, but in April, they’ll be pumping up their basic pay to £12 per hour – a wage more than many major supermarkets.
This exciting news adds to the list of extensive benefits our team at Sewell on the go receive, including a bonus scheme, in-store discount, gym discounts and multiple training opportunities to develop your role within the company.
Patrick Sewell, MD of Sewell on the go says:
“I’m really excited about being about to increase our basic pay to £12 per hour. For the team to have been able to get the business to a point where we can offer this increase in a sustainable way is a huge achievement.
The store teams, and those who work behind the scenes – it takes everyone to create success and it’s important to me that we recognise the importance of every role and reward efforts in the right way.”
£12 per hour is the starting wage for those who are 18 years and above, but the wage for those working our night shifts will see an increase to £12.50 due to the late hours.
Our store teams are made up of store managers, supervisors, retail assistants, hot food assistants, handypeople and more. They all work together to create a world-class experience for our customers in a clean and safe environment, 24/7/365.
Sewell on the go Financial Director Alex Mortimer said:
“The reason we want to pay decent money is that we want to attract talent, and we appreciate times are tough with the pressures of the cost of living.”
“We’re known for having the friendliest staff in the industry, so it’s really important that we attract the right people to come and work for us, wanting to stay with us long term and develop a career.”
