Sewell on the go skydive for Yorkshire Air Ambulance

On Sunday 17 September 2023, two of our retail store managers, Vicky Sellers and Dom Coneyworth will be taking part in a skydive to raise money for Yorkshire Air Ambulance. The thrill-seeking pair are hoping to raise £1000 for the life-saving charity.

The Yorkshire Air Ambulance offers its services to approximately 5 million people across 3 million acres. You might be surprised to learn that it is 100% donation funded and relies heavily on the generosity of organisations and individuals to function.

Alongside other local charities like Hull4Heroes, Dove HouseFitmums and Friends and Hull Animal Welfare Trust, Sewell on the go have supported YAA for many years, and have helped raise over £18,000 from various events that our staff have take part in. Our stores also have ongoing clothing banks at our stores that, along with other supporters, have helped raise over £30k for the charity through their recycling scheme.

Sewell on the go’s dedication to supporting YAA was recognised last year at their Annual Recognition Awards, where Sewell on the go MD, Patrick Sewell, was presented an award on behalf of the teams. The awards were hosted by retired ITV Calendar News veterans and YAA patrons Jon Mitchell andGaynor Barnes. At the awards, YAA’s Regional Fundraising Manager, Lin Stead, said:

“We were delighted to present Sewell on the Go with their much-deserved Corporate Award at our recent Recognition Awards evening, and it was great to have Patrick with us there on the night. A long-standing supporter of the YAA, we are so very grateful for the ongoing support we have received from the company and its colleagues, and this award is just a small thank you and recognition of how grateful we are for their support”
